The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) was established to transform HSBC into a truly data-driven organization by ensuring that every design decision has a built-in data consideration. As DAO we will provide leadership that enables data and analytics to be a key driver of our business strategy. Working closely in partnership with senior stakeholders and delivery teams all over the world to connect the business processes, data, products, services, and technology that underpin customer value and financial success.
As our Head of Data US & Americas you will:

  • Drive buy-in, alignment and execution of the Group Data Strategy in the US and Americas 
  • Lead data transformation initiatives to improve end-to-end processes in the US and Americas and to work with all respective GBGFs on data remediation and enhancement
  • Work with stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance in relation to data
  • Account for leading the management of Data risk and control implementation in the US and Americas, operating as the most senior data expert
  • Act as a single point person to the Regulators in the US and Americas, ensuring appropriate regulator engagement on all data matters
  • Build a community of Data professionals and data enthusiasts across the US and Americas, to influence the outcomes for data governance, quality, and data related project initiatives
  • Support the delivery of Data and analytics solutions by ensuring proper implementation and execution of Group DAO principles, strategies and standards
    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $171,700.00 and $257,500.00
    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Experience running data management programmes
  • Knowledge of data management practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services business processes and resultant information needs: client, risk / regulatory / finance, etc
  • Active industry knowledge of the current state of data management trends 
  • Track-record of developing and implementing strategy for growing evolving a new capability
  • Track-record of leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver exceptional customer service and value.
  • Project/Programme Management skills (project planning and tracking; Issue identification and management; project status reporting) 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data structure, data systems/tools and related software and data management policies 
  • Proven record of making sound judgments, effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
