Position Summary
DESCRIPTION:
The Head Men’s Soccer Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for administering all aspects of the varsity men’s soccer program and performing assigned administrative duties within the Athletics & Recreation Department.

Essential Functions
Soccer Coach 80%
Oversee the preparation, execution, and follow-up of all organized activities of the varsity men’s soccer program, including, but not limited to: practices, competition, team travel, and community service.Recruit qualified student-athletes through NCAA-permissible methods.Promote student-athlete retention and satisfactory progress through NCAA-permissible academic and athletic support.Efficiently manage administrative duties (scheduling, budget control, fundraising, etc.).Assigned Administrative Duties 20%
Assist other directors in one of the following areas: Event Management, Departmental Fundraising, Strength and Conditioning Coaching, Admissions Collaboration, Camp Coordination, Compliance Assistance.Experience and Education Required
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.Minimum of three years of experience in collegiate soccer, intercollegiate athletics, and administration.Thorough understanding of NCAA governing rules.American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification.Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to coach and teach; appropriate knowledge and effective communication/interaction skills.Ability to work effectively in a collegiate setting with enrolled and prospective students and their families, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and the greater College community.Excellent organization and planning skills, heightened awareness, and keen attention to detail.Commitment to professionalism and serving as a positive role model.
