The Head Coach is responsible for promoting the highest type of conduct from each athlete. Main Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesOversee the total sport program, K-12, with the assistance of the assistant coaches and provide guidance to all coaching staffCommunicate with the Athletic DirectorOrganize, plan, and coach all activities and practicesAttend all required Athletic Department, DAC, and IHSAA meetingsProvides documentation in regards to physicals; consent; rosters; awards; eligibility; emergency medical forms; and any other required information in the time frame set forth by the Athletic DepartmentComplete the IHSAA/NFHS coach certification programMonitor academic performance and assist with college opportunitiesLead fundraising effort for the sport programAssumes duties which the Athletic Director or Principal deem necessary for the improvement of the programBe present at all practices and contests, providing assistance, guidance, and safeguards for each participant.
Ensure that athletes are supervised at all times.Will be accountable for all equipment and uniforms including the safety, inventory, and storage.
