High School Head Coach
Classroom Teacher
This position requires a South Dakota teaching certification withendorsements in the assigned content area.
Interested in becoming a certified teacher but don't have teaching degree? The Department of Education offers an Alternative Certification program for those interested in becoming certified but have a bachelor's degree in an area outside of teaching. Those interested in pursuing the alternative certification route MUST have their preliminary certificate prior to applying to teaching positions.

Salary Schedule
Football Season Pay: $7,138.88
Extra Duty/Extra Pay Salary Schedule
Teacher pay ranges from $50,111 to $56,434 per year (depending on experience).
Please note, this is based on the 2023-24 salary schedule. 2024-25 salary schedule coming soon!
Pay Day
Last working day of each month.
Hours
Coaching: Monday through Friday after school hours. Some Saturdays required.
Teaching: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
FTE
1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week, 9 months
