The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a dynamic and versatile Head Men's Golf Coach who will direct, develop, and manage all aspects of a Division I Men's Golf program.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Head Coach, Men's Golf is responsible for coaching, training and development of student-athletes within the team concept.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Recruitment and talent evaluation of student-athletes.
  • Monitoring of student-athletes academic progress and personal development.
  • Budget creation and management.
  • Tournament and practice scheduling.
  • Supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, temps, work study students or volunteers.
  • Adherence to Georgia State University, NCAA, Sun Belt Conference rules and policies.
  • Development and fundraising responsibilities to raise funds for the department and Golf program, along with alumni engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies and/or certification is required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of NCAA, Sun Belt Conference & university rules, polices and regulations.
  • Previous Head Coaching or professional teaching experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications; Public relations experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational acumen and a proclivity for attention to the details.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
