RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Academic Support to ensure retention, graduation, and commitment to life skills. Work with assistant coach regarding inventory and the need to order or replace equipment and/or uniforms. Report the need for repairs to facility to the appropriate administrator.
- Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, and the MIAA is of paramount importance. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of college basketball and NCAA rules required. 5+ years of collegiate coaching experience required.
- Proven ability to establish positive relationships with donors, alumni, former players and local basketball community essential.
- Proven ability to relate to high school and college-aged student-athletes essential
- Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of college coaching at a NCAA Division I or II institution with NCAA post season experience strongly preferred.
- Competitive playing experience and fund-raising experience desirable.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 annually.
