Description Summary
The Head Men’s Basketball Coach will also serve in a second college assignment of one of the following: Athletic Coordinator, Housing Coordinator, Student Development Assistant, or Intermural and Student Life and Activities Coordinator. The employment in the above position is contingent upon the Head Coach being employed in both assigned positions.

Examples of Duties
Constant (67-100%)
- Formulate a successful philosophy to promote the educational welfare and sportsmanship of the student athlete.
- Manage and direct the basketball program.
- Coaches the basketball teams.
- Manages all aspects of the team including strength and conditioning, practicing, competing and scheduling.
- Evaluates and recruits qualified student athletes.
- Directs and supervises the assistant basketball coach.
- Responsible for basketball student athlete retention and roster management.
- Responsible for marketing the basketball program.
- Develop and adhere to the budget set forth for the program.
- Responsible for ordering of supplies and equipment and uniform purchases.
- Arrange travel for the team’s scrimmages and competitions during the season.
- Coordinate fundraising activities to help with the costs of additional items needed for the program.
- Responsible for keeping close watch on student/athletes academic progress.
- Responsible for setting the code of conduct for each student/athlete, and handle discipline accordingly for breaking of the rules set forth.
- Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the College, NJCAA and ICCAC with the utmost integrity.
- Travel outside Area V recruitment areas.
- Responsible for distribution and accumulation of grades for team, as well as grade checks.
- Implementing off season workouts.
- Attend meetings as necessary.
- Assist in the promotion and support of the department.
- Assist in special enrollment days/ visit days/ campus activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
