As a member of our restaurant team, you will be treating guests to food and beverage from our mostly scratch menus and helping to facilitate their full-fledged gaming experience. While every Mox location is unique, each offers a dining experience in our welcoming restaurant, tournament hall, or themed private rooms.

Role: The Head Chef is responsible for the success of all back of house operations while collaborating with and receiving direct mentorship from the Restaurant General Manager. This individual leads the entire kitchen team, driving their success in the daily execution of all kitchen tasks and seeking opportunities for their continued development. The Head Chef leads all menu development, inventory management, and equipment upkeep. As a core member store leadership team, the Head Chef is present during periods of high volume and looks for opportunities to partner with our front of house and retail teams to drive the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and seeks opportunities to continually develop all BOH team members, including the Sous Chef and BOH Supervisor.
Actively collaborates with the Restaurant General Manager and Retail Manager to seek opportunities to drive the overall success of the business.
Leads all menu development, following the guidelines and expectations set forth by the Restaurant Operations Manager.
Ensures food is prepared to specification, with attention to product consistency, product quality, portion control, and plating presentation.
Facilitates weekly product orders with a focus on maintaining PAR levels according to freshness standards.
Supervises and leads daily operations to ensure adherence to company policies, sanitation practices, and safety procedures.
Maintains strong understanding and grasp over COGS through menu development and inventory integrity.
Actively collaborates with the Restaurant General Manager to monitor the restaurant P&L and identify opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
At least four years of kitchen experience in a full-service restaurant operation, including at least two years in a BOH leadership role.
Demonstratable ability to interact professionally in verbal and written communication.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications.
Works effectively independently and autonomously; drives success through accountability.
Exude a genuine interest in self-development of culinary knowledge, leadership skills, and business acumen.
Established track record of recipe building, costing, and inventory management.
