Malarkey's Pub is looking for a Head Chef to join our team in Wausau, WI!

We have an immediate opening for a Head Chef (cooking chef) & Kitchen Manager. If you have experience in this position that is a plus for sure, but if you are eager to reach the next level in your career we have a rare opportunity.
Currently, we have an executive chef that's done consult work across America for the last 15+ years in charge of our back of house. Chef Oscar is here to aid us in finding the next candidate for Head Chef. He can help train, hire, implement menu items, provide tools for costing, station setups...basically he's fully in command of this position-but he is here (temporarily) to help us install our next Head Chef, then will be moving on to his next opportunity.
Chef Oscar will work with the you to achieve the correct food/labor costs, run successful services and fully staff the back of house (which is currently about 90% staffed) and Malarkey's Pub is committed to keeping him on staff for up to 6 months (or shorter for more experienced candidates) to aid in achieving these goals.
Also, we are also able to expand hours (if desired) so if you have a sous chef or a great working relationship/trust with another B.O.H professional, we can likely find a way to make that happen as well.
In short, we have the customers, tools, events, equipment and staff to run a successful business. We are looking for a professional minded candidate to step into this position, and we are committed to aid in this transition.
We have supportive management, a great staff (with very low turnover), an amazing location near an event space, a hotel, other local businesses and a theater. Malarkey's has award winning events of its own happening on nearly a nightly basis.
We offer PTO, flexible scheduling, above average pay AND we are currently only serving 35-40 hours a week which means an opportunity for a life outside of work and plenty of room for growth.
