Job SummaryHE Machine Operator I may operate one or more of the following machines or performs the tasks that includes gasket closer, circle cutter, engine lathe, grinder, rib layout, shear machine, assembly, rib channeler. Keeps area clean. May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates one or more of the following machines or performs the task that includes:
  • gasket closer, circle cutter, engine lathe, grinder, rib layout, shear machine, assembly, rib channeler, basic tig welding
• Employee may be cross trained in different departments/areas.
• Must have clear understanding and practice all safety rules and regulations.
• Must have clear understanding of Quality Policy and Quality System Programs.
• Maintains a clean workstation.

• Ability to understand written/verbal instructions

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Experience

• 1+ year of experience in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Working frequently with average weights of ten to fifty pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
• Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Good visual acuity is required.
• Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
• Occasional work outside in the elements.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds independently.
