HBTS (Home Therapeutic Services) Direct Support Professional

- Starting pay $27.50 an hour -

With a competitive starting pay, and a cohesive "family-like" work environment, an HBTS Direct Support Professional at Ocean State Behavioral will use their skills to work under a primary therapist for in-home clients. You will help to implement a service plan alongside a client's family and/or guardian(s) that has been crafted by a professional therapist overseeing the case.

This is a part-time position where you will be responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and demonstrating sound judgement while providing at least the minimum standard of care according to program standards and principles of "good practice."

Requirements:

• At least 19 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Will provide a current BCI check from RI Attorney General's Office and allow the agency to run a DCYF CANTS clearance check.
• Have a minimum of two years of supervised experience working with children with special health care needs or, be enrolled in relevant undergraduate coursework at an accredited college or university.
• Have at least 2-3 years' experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or, Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Job Duties:

• Implementing a service plan that is developed by the child's family and the agency.
• Providing guidance and redirection for the individual with special needs.
• Writing organized and in-depth daily contact notes and keeping data collection on service plan goals.
• Providing feedback to the agency on service plan goals.
• Utilizing Telehealth and Zoom (video meetings): Required

The Case:

We are currently seeking a HBTS program Direct Support Professional to offer services to the following case:

• 15-Year-old
• Female
• North Providence, RI
• This position is part-time and looking for 9 hours per week. (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4:00-7:00pm)

The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for providing intensive treatment in the home and/or the community to children with developmental, emotional, social, and/or physical difficulties.
