Summary
Maintain and repair Hatchery equipment, loading of incubators at required times. Must not have exposure to poultry or birds outside of work.
This position has a target wage of $18.05 - $20.00
Shift: Sunday – Thursday 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- On call for Hatchery alarms
- Load incubators with eggs at scheduled times directed by management
- Read, interpret, and understand manufacturers’ equipment manuals, preventative maintenance (PM) task sheet, and safety policies
- Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdowns
- Perform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations
- Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisor of potential issues
- Maintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standard
- Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
- Must not have exposure to Poultry or birds outside of work
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- 0-2 years
- Reading, writing, and analytical skills are required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is active with routine on the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems
- Must be able to obtain company certification for use of pallet jack, scissor lift, and forklift
- May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
- Exposure to temperatures ranging from 55- 105 degrees
- Humidity up to 100%
- Work in wet, damp, dusty (chicken down) environment
- Occasional exposure to outside ambient temperatures
- Exposed to chemicals and vaccines to be covered in SDS training and hazardous communications
- Must use personal protective equipment as required for the job as described by company
