Russ Hadick & Associates, Inc, a 41 year old Professional Search and Recruiting firm, has partnered with a Dayton, Ohio client for their 12 month assignment Contract Project Manager. This is a hybrid job in Dayton, Ohio
This person must have past experience leading projects in the past and understand the various phases of a project to get from component design to production into manufacturing. They need experience with work estimation and coming up with a schedule and driving the team to deliver. strong communication skills are absolutely needed too.
Skills:
  • Proven experience in backlog planning and scheduling.
  • Proven hands on technical project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently is required.
  • Proven experience in proactively identifying and resolving issues early while maintaining relationships.
  • Experience working internationally with diverse cultures is preferred.
  • Proven experience with routine project communications. 
  • Leadership qualities with high energy that demonstrates the ability to work well with diverse groups of people in a way that motivates them to achieve common objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will be working on hardware component projects (IMUs/lasers/other sensors) that have some interactions with systems SW and system Engineering.
  • The major groups this PM will interact with are Hardware development teams, FW development teams, testing and validation resources. There might be involvement with system engineers and system SW depending on the project needs.
  •  Someone with Hardware/components background would be ideal. These components include IMUs, lasers and other position sensors. They have microprocessors in them that use Firmware. These components fit into a bigger system for doing positioning and controls on construction equipment.
  • Familiarity to Jira/ Microsoft project or Smartsheets

Education: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering field preferred or equivalent.
  • 6 years direct experience in an engineering environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in cross-functional project teams and organizations.
  • A recognized certification in Project Management (PMP) is highly desirable.
