Experienced electrical engineer to lead high-speed electronic design projects. As the Hardware Engineer Lead, you'll manage design projects, coordinate activities, and ensure timelines are on track for deadlines. You must have knowledge of system-level high-speed digital board design (16-20+ Gbps) and strong project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
You will lead hardware development projects that focus on high-speed serial data communication products, perform board and system-level high-speed digital circuit design, integration, and evaluation. You'll also manage hardware development schedules, development of system and board-level tests, unit and production tests, component selection, EMC, and CE certification, and interface with various internal departments.
Qualifications include a BS/MS in EE or CE (MS preferred), 10+ years of design experience, including high-speed circuit design, embedded platforms, CPU, memory interfaces, layout, and simulation, and a minimum of 5 years leading development projects/teams. You should also have experience with a network product company developing high-speed serial interfaces and circuits and excellent knowledge of high-speed design methodologies and simulation, bus technologies, system development, and testing equipment.

- Perform and lead PCB layout and simulation. Knowledge of >20Gbps layout preferred

- Interface with software, operations, manufacturing, procurement, customer support, etc.
- Assist in EMC certification
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in EE or CE (MS preferred)
- 10+ years of system/board level design experience- high-speed circuit design, embedded platforms, CPU, memory interfaces, layout, simulation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading development projects/teams
- Experience with a network product company developing high-speed serial interfaces and circuits
- Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of:
- high-speed (20Gbps or higher) design methodologies and simulation
- Bus technologies such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SAS/SATA
- high-speed circuit design, implementation, and measurements
- high-speed simulation – Hspice, Hyperlinx, or similar tools
- system development
- developing and implementing development processes
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes; EMC/EMI control; schematic entry tools; test and measurement equipment such as real-time oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers; debug; high-speed timing
