The Compute and Networking Hardware team in the Special projects group is responsible for technology selection, Hardware Design, validation and manufacturing of safety critical compute and network design.
We are looking for a technical lead with experience in safety critical MCU selection, ECU design and validation. Ideal candidate should have background in taking safety critical MCU based HW design from concept to production through several stages including design, validation, fault testing, manufacturing etc., This is a high visibility, highly impactful cross-functional role.
Key Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of safety critical ARM MCUs
In depth knowledge in Safety critical ECU Hardware design
Experience with ISO-26262 (Certification not a must)
Highly skilled in Hardware Design including
Hardware architecture
Schematic design
Constraints entry and Board layout support
ICT, FCT, Reliability testing, fault testing
Manufacturing support
Experience with FMEA processes and tools (Medini and/or APIS)
Experience with basic systems engineering (requirements and validation capture and tracing) using V model is a plus
Knowledge of system engineering tools like Polarion preferable
Basic knowledge of python scripting or other scripting tools is a plus
Description
- ECU architecture definition based on top-down function, safety and non-functional requirements. Drive the x-functional, leadership review and approval of the Module architecture.
- Lead design work including schematics, FMEA, WCCA, FMEDA, layout
- Develop Module specification and HSIS documents
- Handshake with manufacturing to enable PCB and module builds
- Develop and path set detailed DV plan for the module
- Coach junior engineers and effectively guide them in executing the design and DV plans
- Support system integration efforts
Education & Experience
- B.S in EE + 6 years of experience or M.S in EE + 5 years of experience in relevant industry that matches the above qualifications
