H Shipping and Receiving Operator

Job description

Several positions are open; these positions will work on either first (7:00am - 3:00pm) or second shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm).

• Perform cycle counts on raw materials when needed.
• Responsible for clearing finished goods off production floor and staging them for shipment.
• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks.
• Responsible for the unloading of carbon black.
• Perform data entry computer daily.
• Prepare paperwork and preparing shipments.
• Responsible for maintaining raw material warehouse organized and clean.
• Responsible for consolidation of raw materials on a daily basis.
• Required to read Bill of Ladings and Shipping Reports.
• Responsible for practicing safe work habits and reporting unsafe conditions/actions to the area manager.
• Strive to improve quality and increase productivity.
• Responsible for maintaining and using company resources wisely.
• Standing: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Walking: Required to walk to and from break room, warehouse and other areas to obtain products needed to perform job duties.
• Stair climbing: Required to climb stairs to elevated work stations, as needed.
• Balance: Good balance needed to work around forklifts and moving equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and lift arms above head.
• Coordination: Good hand/eye coordination needed to perform job duties
• Weight: Must be able to lift and manage a weight of 55 lbs / 25 kgs, as required.
• Any other job duty as assigned.
