Education and Experience:
· Hold a valid Ohio counselor or pupil personnel certificate (preferred)
· Three years of successful classroom teaching experience (preferred)

· Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

Essential Functions:
· Provide counseling to individual students concerning academic performance, personal concerns, peer relationships, and career awareness
· Assist with implementation of due process requirements for special education students, to include screening prior to psychological referral, identification, placement, and annual case reviews
· Assist members of the administration and teaching staffs in the area of guidance by: sharing appropriate individual pupil data, identifying pupils with special needs and problems, participating in the in-service training programs, helping teachers secure career of vocational information applicable to their subject areas
· Assist in the organization and implementation of the system-wide testing program
· Assist with registration and scheduling of students
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principal
