Guest Teacher

We are seeking substitute teachers to join our outstanding teaching and learning team at our North Lawndale school.

We are seeking a substitute teacher who is a positive adult role model for our scholars. The ideal candidate:

● is committed to strong teaching and learning for scholars;

● is responsible and reliable;

● is an outstanding communicator;

● is able to follow lesson plans, as well as think creatively and problem-solve;

● seeks feedback and is willing to learn;

● has familiarity with Zoom, Google Classroom, and Seesaw or willing to learn

● respects diverse people, ideas, and perspectives;

● implement restorative practice within logical consequences

● has the capacity to handle the fast-paced and multi-faceted environment of a high-performing Chicago charter school with grace, humor, collaboration, and solution-orientation; and

● develops positive and productive relationships with all staff members and Legacy families, working in service of our scholars.

● You must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

● Professional Educator’s License or Substitute License or willing to obtain it
