Guest Services Greeter (Part-Time)
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. Job Description:
The major job function for this position is to receive COTA visitors and complete any necessary documentation upon entry to COTA grounds. You will monitor access control and provide exemplary customer service. This position will work collaboratively with contracted vendors and staff that support and fulfill COTA's Guest Services program for all events that take place at COTA. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of the overall guest experience
- Receive and log visitors' names and times of entry
- Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
- Give directions to lost individuals, and have a warm and receptive interaction with visitors at COTA who are not always allowed on the premises
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Tunnel entrance booths by sweeping, wiping counters, keeping supplies organized, take the trash out daily
- Waiver and wristband individuals for private events; keep records of waivers/wristbands
- Build relationships with staff, contractors, and returning visitors
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times; alert COTA Security of all suspicious activity
Specialized Qualifications:
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct oneself in a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations
- Ability to work productively in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions
- Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job
- Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills required
- Must be very committed during weeks prior to major events and actual event dates
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and/ or use hands to move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to ensure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require some outdoor work
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Work Environment:
- This position breakdown will be event operations. Events may occur outdoors with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events

- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
