The purpose of this position is to supervise the operations of Guest Services at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. This is accomplished by ensuring high level customer service, training and supervising staff, resolving problems, and fulfilling various event attendant duties. Other duties may include serving as liaison with CUTX EC tenants, developing procedures, ensuring high level customer service is delivered and maintaining records. This position provides direction to other employees.

Please Note: This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes working evenings, nights, weekends and some holidays.

Essential Functions

The information listed below is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of this position.

• Assist with planning, supervision and coordination of event needs including event staffing, logistics, promoter relations, administration, Guest Services and event security.

• Execute event plans by overseeing front-of-house procedures, which include patron entry and exit, line management, ticket scanning, parking, traffic management, safety, security, and seat assistance. Direct back-of-house dock access, safety, and security procedures.

• Manage Guest Services staffing, budget, and equipment plans for each event based on estimated attendance and event needs. Serve as liaison with 3rd party staffing agency to ensure events are appropriately staffed.

• Develop and implement programs, policies and procedures to provide high level customer service and protection of people, assets and property while meeting venue and event objectives. Conduct annual and ongoing training to event personnel to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Supervises event personnel by overseeing event day processes and assigning roles and responsibilities.

• Serves as primary liaison with CUTXEC tenants for Guest Services.

• Coordinates with operations to ensure ADA compliance and venue safety and security.

• Create and maintain records both electronically and hard copy.

• Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in City and department attendance policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

• Associate's degree plus two (2) years of relevant work experience; OR
• High School diploma or equivalent plus six (6) years of relevant work experience

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Certification and Other Requirements

• Valid Class C Drivers License

• This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes working evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

The employer has the flexibility to adjust an employee's working hours as needed and at their discretion.

Overall Physical Strength Demands

• Sedentary - Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
