While prior knowledge of RVs is not a mandatory requirement, it is recommended due to the job's nature. You will be required to help customers who own RVs, so having a basic understanding is good. Additionally, having knowledge of the different types of RV’s will help you better assist customers and provide them with accurate information. We will provide training material that will help you to book sites accordingly.

Job Description:

The Guest ServicesReservation Agent fulfills various tasks supporting the successful operation of Lake Pleasant RV Park. This individual will report to management and maintenance to enhance guest experience for overnight and seasonal monthly guests. It is crucial for the park's front-line staff to treat guests with kindness, empathy, and respect consistently. We have many repeat guests and know them on a first name basis.

Having a general knowledge of RVs can be an added advantage, Though, it is not mandatory to be considered. If you have experience in other essential customer service-oriented skills, with online booking systems, as well as billing experience, we encourage you to apply. We will discuss the opportunities available and evaluate whether you are a suitable candidate for the position.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide a seamless check-in process for campground guests by compiling check-in invoices in advance, collecting any payments owed, and explaining park operational changes that may impact the visitor experience. Provide guests information pertaining to park policies, a map and directions to reserved sites.
  • Assist future guests with reservations via phone and email and respond to general inquiries about Lake Pleasant RV Park.
  • Build a high level of proficiency with the online reservation system.
  • Email customers, answering their requests, by maintaining the customer info inbox.
  • Follow procedures for collecting and handling of currency.
  • Ability to pump propane into cylinders and motor homes. It’s simple, we will teach you.
  • Monitor the Park for Registered and Unregistered Campers via golf cart site checks.
  • Take electrical meter reads for monthly guests and enter reads into reservation system for billing.
  • Inspect campground facilities, identify maintenance needs and hazards, and submit work orders as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of general park information to answer guest questions and offer local recommendations for inquiries related to RV repair shops, grocery stores, package mailing and other services.
  • Use conflict resolution strategies to provide solutions to dissatisfied guests, referring high-level issues to management as needed.
  • Enforce all safety rules in and around the campground, contacting management and law enforcement as needed.

Scheduled Employee Office Hours:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the ability to work a wide range of shifts. We do strive to keep your schedule consistent. Be prepared to work on weekend days and some holidays, during the summer months.

Your attendance and punctuality are of utmost importance, so we expect you to be present and on time for all scheduled shifts.

Additionally, this role requires individuals who can prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Being available and accessible when the business demands your service is of utmost importance, and thus, applicants should be willing to adjust their schedules accordingly.

To excel in this role, you must be proficient in communication via email, and be able to create and deliver accurate reports. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with colleagues and senior management is crucial. You must also possess exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management skills. Lastly, you should be able to work with limited directions, learn the online reservation system quickly, and be proactive in your approach.

Physical Demands:

The following job requires a certain level of physical demand. The employee must be able to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch, walk, talk and hear frequently. They must also be able to use their hands to operate a computer and phone and reach with their hands and arms. The ability to twist propane tank valves and hoses is a required skill and duty for consideration in this position. Ability to drive a golf cart around the park.

While working, the employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme weather conditions, such as high heat and humidity in the summer and cold, windy conditions in the winter. However, most of the work will be in an indoor environment that is climate-controlled and shared with several other staff members. The office may be busier and louder on check-in dates during holiday weekends, the peak summer season, and the first of each month during the winter (snowbird) season.
