Job description

We're seeking a Growth/ Product Marketer who is focused on clearly articulating our technology and services to clients and prospects, driving demand and adoption through on-brand messaging, creating product-focused content, executing marketing strategies, and increasing awareness and adoption of the platform. To be successful in this role, you must have experience translating technically complex features and functionality into outcomes, benefits, and solutions for the modern marketer. Our ideal candidate is a passionate, experienced content and product marketer with a passion for process and proven success driving GTM strategies for emerging B2B SaaS products.

This is our first Growth Marketer hire. You will play a pivotal role in driving our company's expansion, customer acquisition, and growth acceleration. You will own strategic initiatives to elevate our market presence, utilizing innovative marketing techniques to achieve new heights. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, creativity, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

KPIs:

Content Production:

KPI: Number of quality content pieces produced.

Success Benchmark: Achieving a consistent output aligned with the content strategy, for example, publishing 2-3 blog posts per week.

SEO Performance:

KPI: Improvements in keyword rankings and organic search visibility.

Success Benchmark: Achieving a 10-20% increase in rankings for target keywords over a specific timeframe.

Lead Generation:

KPI: Number of leads generated through personal efforts.

Success Benchmark: Contributing to a 10-15% increase in the overall lead generation numbers.

Social Media Engagement:

KPI: Personal impact on social media interactions (likes, shares, comments).

Success Benchmark: Achieving a 15-20% increase in personal social media engagement over a defined period (to be agreed upon with Growth Marketer).

User Acquisition:

KPI: Number of new demos acquired through marketing efforts.

Importance: Indicates the ability to attract and acquire new customers or users.

Success Benchmark: at least 5 demos a day.

Conversion Rate:

KPI: Percentage of users who take a desired action (e.g., sign up, download, purchase).

Importance: Measures the effectiveness of marketing strategies in converting leads into customers.

Success Benchmark: Improving conversion rates over time, with a goal of meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks. Achieving a 5-10% increase in conversion rates for targeted pages on website.

Customer Retention Rate:

KPI: Percentage of customers retained over a specific period.

Importance: Reflects the ability to keep customers engaged and satisfied.

Success Benchmark: Maintaining a high customer retention rate, with a goal of reducing churn.

Lifetime Value (LTV):

KPI: Predicted revenue generated by a customer over their entire relationship with the company.

Importance: Aligns marketing efforts with long-term business value.

Success Benchmark: Increasing LTV through effective retention and upselling strategies.

Churn Rate:

KPI: Percentage of customers who stop using a product or service over a specific period.

Importance: Indicates customer dissatisfaction or disengagement.

Success Benchmark: Reducing churn rate through targeted efforts to improve customer satisfaction.

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC):

KPI: Cost of acquiring a new customer.

Importance: Evaluates the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of acquisition strategies.

Success Benchmark: Keeping CAC below the average customer lifetime value (LTV) to ensure profitability.

Funnel Conversion Rates:

KPIs: Conversion rates at different stages of the marketing and sales funnel.

Importance: Identifies strengths and weaknesses in the conversion process.

Success Benchmark: Regularly optimizing and improving conversion rates at each stage of the funnel.

Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales-Qualified Leads (SQL):

KPIs: Number of MQLs and SQLs generated.

Importance: Evaluates the quality of leads passed to sales for conversion.

Success Benchmark: Achieving a balance between quantity and quality of leads, resulting in higher conversion rates.

Brand Awareness Metrics:

KPIs: Metrics like brand mentions, social media reach, and online visibility.

Importance: Measures the impact of marketing efforts on brand recognition and visibility.

Success Benchmark: Increasing brand awareness through various channels, with a focus on relevant metrics.

Analytics and Reporting:

KPI: Accuracy and timeliness in reporting marketing analytics.

Success Benchmark: Consistently providing accurate reports on time, with insights and actionable recommendations.

Experimentation and Innovation:

KPI: Introducing and testing new ideas or strategies.

Success Benchmark: Implementing and documenting the results of at least one successful innovative campaign per quarter.

Case Study Creation

Creating 2 new case studies per quarter.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience in user acquisition or digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of campaign management in Facebook Ads & Google Ads. TikTok and Pinterest Ads experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of marketing funnels, channels, attribution, and performance metrics.
  • Experience with advanced measurement methodologies, including incrementality & brand lift.
  • Experience analyzing performance metrics and arriving at actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in excel and using Google Analytics
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of start-up environments.
  • Strong technical understanding and experience in: Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Facebook Ads Manager
  • Experience developing winning ads and strategies across niche platforms with proven success
  • Ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions
  • Ability to pivot quickly and demonstrate grit and agility to achieve quick results
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and good judgment
  • Creative ability to develop new copy and messaging strategies
  • Should be a self-starter with a tenacious desire to problem solve and crack-the-ad-codes with our target audiences and geographic locations
  • Strong leadership qualities and track-record of effectively working with other departments/teams
  • Ability to take critical feedback and adjust to meet the needs of expectations of both clients and the company
  • Strong track record of creating product marketing plans encompassing strategy, client research, competitive analysis, and messaging
  • Experience initiating and driving a range of go-to-market programs and strategies
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful cross-functional campaigns
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a track record of creating and implementing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights and optimize campaigns
  • Past success working in high-growth & dynamic start-up environments and B2B experience.
  • Functions without noticeable guidance and performs tasks that are virtually free form and dynamic
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation), with an eye for quality, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Experience partnering with technical and non-technical team members
  • Ability to research, understand, and distill a complex technical product or feature and translate to common marketing solutions that are relatable and engaging to the audience
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to organize and manage large projects and shift competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with little direction
  • Strength in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including executive management, product development, operations, and sales
  • Maximizes technical expertise, project leadership, business savvy, and industry knowledge
  • Combines broad innovative vision with the proven ability to achieve results
  • Spans project and discipline boundaries in order to positively impact the company's success
  • Eager to build a strong product marketing framework for future initiatives and resources
