Key Objective(s):
Account Executives on our Sales team are responsible for generating revenue within a specific category which they are uniquely qualified to focus on. They are the lifeblood of our sales operation. As an AE, your goal is to maximize sales within your category, which includes both working inbound leads and prospecting new leads via targeted outreach. You must not only be able to effectively prospect and close opportunities with these groups, but also efficiently communicate and coordinate logistics with several internal operations teams to ensure any package, event, or experience you sold is properly executed.
We are looking for two separate Account Executives, each focusing on a different category: Corporate Sales and Local Organizations. Please indicate which category you are applying for and why you are uniquely positioned for this role.
Local Organizations AE:
As the Local Organizations Account Executive, you will own the Local Orgs category. This is an incredibly valuable market that is critical to develop strong ties with and has a deep pool of potential customers across a wide variety of guest types. In this role, you will be tasked with both creating packages, events, and group experiences at American Dream and selling them into organizations in the local area. This category includes schools, camps, club/local teams, churches, and many other types of groups.
Corporate Sales AE:
As the Corporate Account Executive, you will own the Corporate Sales category. This is a relatively untapped market that has become increasingly important since COVID changed the office/remote working landscape. In this role, you will be tasked with creating corporate packages, events, and group experiences at American Dream and selling them into businesses with offices in the tri-state area.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own a pipeline of leads and opportunities in your category. You must effectively manage this pipeline and consistently close opportunities to meet your revenue quota.
- Lead all sales conversations with prospective guests in your category. You must be able to quickly identify their needs/interests and create proposals for unique experiences that give them a compelling reason to visit American Dream.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies for generating new leads within your category. There will be two BDRs to support the outreach efforts of all AEs, but your performance will ultimately be assessed by the revenue generated via guests in your category. You must excel in your ability to create/execute outbound campaigns to generate enough leads to consistently hit your numbers.
- Partner with internal operations teams to ensure the successful execution of any packages, events, or experiences you sold. To do this well, you must be an excellent communicator and fast learner so that you can manage these conversations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years' experience in a sales/Account Executive role
- Local Organizations AE: You have a network of contacts at local organizations in the local area that you can tap into (schools, clubs, teams, etc)
- Corporate Sales AE: You have a network of contacts at businesses in the tri-state area that you can tap into
- You have a track record of closing opportunities with local organizations or corporate sales in previous roles
- You have successfully managed quotas of $2MM+ in annual revenue
- You have a deep understanding of the types of packages, events, and experiences guests in your category are interested in. You'll be able to translate that understanding into developing new packages for them.
- You're an expert Salesforce user with strong experience using this and other sales software
- You have experience and a passion for using technology wherever possible to maximize your efficiency
- You're comfortable in a fast-paced, quota-driven role
- MUST have previous relevant experience in Events, Entertainment, or similar industries.
