Are you looking to become a Group Leader and take the next step in your career? Our team of dynamic and talented Group Leaders will work together to inspire and guide groups of children in an afterschool setting.
Responsibilities:
- Helps coordinate the daily set-up and close-down of program to ensure children have access to a variety of developmentally-appropriate program resources and activities.
- Contributes in serving daily, healthy snack options in an orderly manner
- Consistently adheres to EEC cleaning standards.
- Implements activities, leads, assists, and acts as a role-model participant in both active and sedentary indoor and outdoor lessons, games and activities; supervises students during activities.
- Expands children’s experiences, extends their learning, and provides warm and caring support.
- Attends staff meetings, workshops, classes, seminars, conferences, lectures, etc. to meet EEC professional development requirements and reviews school-age care regulations as appropriate.
- Maintains a consistent schedule at an assigned site, while being flexible in helping others sites when needed
Education and Experience:
- Must meet EEC qualifications per state regulations for Group Leader:
A Group Leader shall be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following sets of requirements:
a. Have a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree; and have three months of experience working with school age children; or
b. Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and have six months of experience working with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child care program; or
c. Have nine months of experience with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child care program.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
