As part of our After School Staff, you will help create a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment so that each child can learn, grow, and thrive while in our care, outside of traditional school day hours. On a regular day, you will develop and lead children in fun and engaging activities, support the secure check-in and check-out of children, and collaborate with team members in supervising groups of children to ensure safety, appropriate behaviors, and licensing compliance. You will ensure appropriate communication is shared amongst team members and to supervisors, documenting all incidents as required and responding to children's needs.
To thrive in this position you must have an interest or experience working directly with children in a recreational or education setting. You understand how to apply rules and provide positive redirection to ensure the safety of children, while jumping into the game and making the afternoon enjoyable for program participants. After School Programs allow for part time, flexible jobs that are perfect for High School students that are looking to gain experience working with children. This is a perfect position that can transfer into our Summer Camp programs.
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- A minimum of 3-6 months prior experience working in a school-age program (grades K-5) is highly preferred
- Consistent afternoon availability Monday-Friday 1:30-6:00 pm (5 days per week highly preferred, a minimum of 3 days required)
