SalaryMissoula, MT, US is looking for an Adult Group Home Staff Member to join their team. The successful candidate will have direct contact with clients and be responsible for the operations of the house each day. This role will involve sitting, standing, walking, stretching arms and legs, and speaking or listening. It may also involve lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The employee will also need good vision, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and the ability to focus. Attendance at work is mandatory.
Day Shift- must be available weekends.
The shift we are hiring for is Saturday-Monday, 12-hour days.
Compensation:$17 - $18 hourly
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and assess barriers that affect independent living or community living
- Address communication skills
- Identify and implement symptom management skills
- Develop social support systems
- Cleaning common areas
- Assist with medication distribution
- Adapt skills for home, work, education, vocation, leisure, and social activities
- Provide immediate crisis intervention; attend to the 24-hour crisis line
- Oversee the preparation of 3 nutritious meals per day
- Be responsible for following the transitional treatment plan developed by the manager
- Ability to maintain regular attendance
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year working in a supervised setting with people having severe disabling mental illness preferred
- College-level courses in mental health/psych preferred
