Responsibilities
- Greets each user who enters the Group Fitness area with an enthusiastic attitude and ensures they get to know the individual by name
- Presents a well planned, energetic, entertaining, effective and safe Group Fitness experience whenever they participate in a class
- Monitors user exercise response and makes adjustments as necessary
- Provides support by properly maintaining the Group Fitness area to ensure functionality and safety
- Promotes the facility’s services and offerings to class participants
- Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Teaching experience should include classes similar to those to be instructed
- Current certification as a Group Fitness Instructor or leader from a national fitness organization required within 90 days of employment
- CPR and AED certification
Preferred Job Requirements
- 6 months of experience or 200 hours as a Group Fitness Instructor
