Group Fitness Instructor

Job Description:

We are looking to on-board experienced Group Fitness Instructors and personal trainers in the CHARLOTTE, NC area. Instructors will teach exercise classes on-site at The Village on Morehead (Retirement community).

The ideal candidate brings great enthusiasm, excitement, a positive attitude, is nurturing, patient, caring, highly autonomous, and can commit to teach 5-10 hours of classes/week between the hours of 930AM-1130AM and is comfortable working with the Older Adult/ Senior population. 

The sessions will be 30 min. Instructors should be comfortable teaching an array of exercise classes. Which include BALANCE, BARRE, CORE, STRENGTH, WATER AEROBICS, YOGA, & ZUMBA GOLD 

Equipment will be provided on site.

Classes range anywhere from 2-5 participants and generally occur 3x-4x a week on a monthly basis in perpetuity. M, W, F, SAT (optional)

Start Date: Feb 19, 2024

Compensation:

All instructors start off at $20-$30 per hour. Your rates will increase as your book of business (i.e. the number of communities you are contracted for) increases. In addition, your rates can increase with good performance and time served with Greater Raleigh Fitness, which is evaluated after your first month.

Experience:

The ideal candidate has experience with personal training or Group Fitness instruction. And has experience working with Seniors and/or people with disabilities.

Certification:

Personal training certification is required

Work Location:

Classes will take place at The Village on Morehead (727 E Morehead St.)

Interview Process:

The interview process is composed of three steps: Application, phone call screening, and a video conference with 15 minute Demo class.
