We have 7 Hotel properties in Florida, Illinois and Montana and are beginning the construction of a Full Service $30 million hotel located in Florida to be the premier property in our hotel family.
As the Group Director you will be a key leader in the planning and construction of the new hotel as well as the growth of our existing hotels.
Primary Function
The Group Director of Hotel Operations will be responsible for working with multiple property General Managers to oversee Hotel Operations, including Full Service and Select Service properties. This individual exemplifies the organization's vision and culture promoting unity and teamwork among all leaders within the company and cultivates a supportive and productive relationship with internal and external partners with 100% commitment. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of strategies for driving results in the areas of guest service, employee engagement, sales/marketing, property appearance and profit/financial control.
Objectives & Goals
The Group Director of Hotel Operations will strive to ensure exceptional guest service and to reach or exceed targeted sales, marketing, & financial goals across all properties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the overall day-to-day operations of multiple hotels from an asset management perspective, this position will oversee multiple full service and limited service hotels.
- Responsible for all aspects of operations, working closely with properties in reviewing key metrics, systems, programs, and processes to ensure revenue, NOI, and ROI are maximized.
- Be a brand and culture champion by promoting a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
- Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
- Motivate, lead, and direct management.
- Conducts regularly scheduled meetings for hotel management and staff.
- Responsible for successful and effective vendor relationship management.
- Establish priorities for each location and lead/support key operational projects.
- Ensure hotels are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, investigating complaints, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develops and maintains all aspects of Hotel's reservation and revenue management systems directed toward the maximization of profit.
- Assist with leading hotel renovations and new construction (i.e. oversight of renovation timelines and budgets) and making purchase decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 10 years Hospitality Management/ General Manager experience with major hotel brands in full service and limited service properties (i.e. Marriott, Hilton, IHG, etc.) and training required.
- Marriott experience is preferred.
- Full service experience is required.
- Multi-Unit Management experience a plus.
- Prior experience with new hotel openings is preferred.
- Reside in Florida full time, quarterly multi-state travel by car/plane required. (Relocation Services Available)
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
- High ethical standards.
- Excellent analytical abilities. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak effectively to diverse groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proven time, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience and knowledge and excellent computer proficiency.
- Must be able to stand, sit bend, twist, reach, push, and pull as needed.
