Job Title: Groundskeeper/Landscaping
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Foreman/VP of Commercial Maintenance
Effective Date: March 6th, 2024
General Summary:
Focusing on cleaning, maintaining, and constantly improving the exterior appearance of all Tentac properties.
Essential Functions:
- Mowing the grass
- Weed eating and edging the sidewalks
- Blowing the sidewalks of any debris
- Cleaning trash from the parking lot curbs
- Picking up trash and other debris around the property
- Trimming bushes
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be dependable
- Must be willing to go over and above for both customers and co-workers
Qualification Standards
Education:
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred: Some experience
Licenses or Certificates:
Valid Driver’s License that meets company driving record policy.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Eastland Suites and Tentac Enterprises standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 90% of the work day.
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
- Ability to carry items weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with the whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
- Ability to move about.
- Ability to see within normal parameters.
- Ability to hear within normal range.
