Job Description
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Position Summary
The successful candidate for this position will assists in the maintenance and landscaping duties of the outside grounds of all locations of responsibility.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically able to stand, walk and climb ladders and stairs
- Heavy lifting
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must be a U. S. Citizen
- Must successfully pass the Company background investigation
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or be able to lawfully operate a motor vehicle in a work environment
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency
- Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, e-mail system use and work order system.
- Cleans entry ways and mats at Corporate locations
- Sweep outside perimeter of Corporate especially around dumpster and dock
- Empty all outside trash cans at Corporate
- Assist on landscape installations, hedge shearing and artistic pruning
- Mow and weed
- Operate wide area mower, log chipper and other equipment
- Repair fences and spread mulch
- Maintain and repair all lawn equipment, snow plows and outdoor tools
- Cut down trees
- Truck delivery
- Snow removal
- Assist with special events, such as Annual Meeting, Safety Day meetings
The successful candidate for this position must possess knowledge in:
- Small engine repair and maintenance
- Basic plumbing
- Knowledge of tools and proper use
- Light carpentry
- Safety training
- Forklift training
- Lift training
- Assist with furniture moves as needed
- Must demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity
- Must demonstrate a high degree of timelines with respect to presence at work, assignments and meetings as well as with respect to the on-time completion of assigned projects
- Must demonstrate a clear commitment to safety
- Must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Must communicate effectively
The compensation range for this position is $15/hour to $18/hour.
