Responsibilities
The Groundskeeper performs landscaping and other related tasks pertinent to maintaining the overall appearance of the resort.

Expectations
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and improving the landscapes around resort buildings, facilities and other properties and endeavors to consistently exceed guest quality expectations. All AOTG employees are expected to help achieve our vision of leading the world outdoors by extending hospitality at all times, providing assistance where needed, and championing a one-company mindset.
Duties
- Empty trash and recycling containers
- Pick up and remove trash prior to mowing a designated area
- Mow lawns, trim weeds, and rake leaves as assigned
- Trim bushes, shrubs, and grass as needed
- Maintain trails and pathways
- Spread mulch and gravel
- Prepare soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs
- Plant trees and prune them when necessary
- Safely cut and remove trees as needed
- Split and bundle firewood
- Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed
- Maintain river access and campground areas
- Complete snow removal tasks such as shoveling and plowing as needed during winter months
- Performs routine maintenance on power equipment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be added at the company's discretion
Qualifications
REQUIRED
REQUIRED
- Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment
- Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
The Groundskeeper is expected to work weekends and other irregular hours. Flexibility in work habits and work schedule is required.
