Grounds Technician

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is currently seeking a CT1 Grounds Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various small equipment, including skid steers, plow trucks, lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers, to ensure the safety and aesthetics of our campus grounds. Additionally, they will assist with general groundskeeping tasks such as landscaping, planting, watering, snow removal, and performing minor repairs and maintenance duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

May possess journeyman level certification. Requires apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the specific trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid Alaska Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one upon hire, and a clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Critiera is required.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. Salary Information: CT1 /Step 1 $24.36/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule).
