JOB SUMMARY:
The basic function of the Curbside Greeter is to greet and assist all patients, family and visitors entering and exiting the Practice. The curbside greeter is responsible to guide patients to the appropriate patient care areas and assist physically challenged individuals by offering/providing wheelchair, etc. assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
- High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in a high volume practice.
- Must be personable, friendly and offer outstanding customer service at all times.
- Must be able to work as a team member and assist other co-workers.
- Must have professional and effective communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets patients/visitors in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
at the main entrance of the Practice.
- Assist patients getting in or out of their vehicles.
- Transports patients via a wheelchair. Obtains/returns wheelchairs as necessary. Cleans/sanitizes wheelchairs after each use.
- Provides exemplary customer service to patients and visitors to the facility.
- Must be friendly, polite and professional and be willing to “brave” the elements throughout the year.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:
No direct reports.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be proficient in the English language, both verbally and written, in order to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, vendors, and the general public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Moderate physical effort; standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients transferring from car to wheelchair. Must be able to stand the entire shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate controlled environment while inside with frequent periods of being outside greeting patients.
