Greenhouse Worker/Planter

Sweetbay Farms is seeking a Greenhouse Worker/Planter who is organized, upbeat, reliable and hard working.

This is a seasonal position located at our Taneytown greenhouse that will begin in mid February and run through late May/early June. Once the season is over, there may be an opportunity to continue employment at the retail center in Westminster.

Greenhouse projects include:

- Potting plants according to schedule (This will be the main duty of the job- lots of planting!)

- Receiving, organizing and maintaining plant inventory

- Watering, cleaning and proper upkeep of plants

- Maintaining a clean work environment

- Communicating and working in tandem with other greenhouse workers and retail center

- Loading and unloading plants

Our greenhouses are usually operational from February to June. The spring is incredibly busy and the job will be demanding during this period as the pace can be very quick as plants move in and out.

Looking for someone who can work 20-30 hours per week on average. We do have the ability to be slightly flexible regarding days/hours worked if you prefer to have certain days on or off. We have a small team of planters who operate on a monthly schedule and we do the best we can to accommodate scheduling wishes when possible as long as planting duties and watering are covered.

Weekend work is not anticipated for this position, however there may a few days during spring here or there we may ask for help planting or watering.
