About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Graphic Design Intern to work part-time. The number of hours is flexible. The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for assisting with a range of print and web projects, such as print materials, trade show displays, collateral material, and web graphics. Qualified candidates will possess strong graphic design skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and have the ability to organize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of promotional web graphics, surveys, flyers, banners, posters, invitations, and other advertising and marketing materials as needed
- Update website with new text, images, blog posts, press release, sponsor logos, video etc.
- Update assets to new branding
- Update and maintain content and images for Shopify, and other 3rd party app listings
- Create wireframes or mockups for new web pages and applications
- Create branding and identity systems for websites, apps, and other media
- Design graphics, icons, and logos
- Design custom graphics for Wordpress
- Work with developers to implement visual elements of websites
- Research and evaluate new design trends
- Establish and maintain design standards and best practices
- Some print design needed for trade show handouts and sales team assets
Qualifications
- Experience in Wordpress (required)
- Desire to work in a start up environment
- Self Starter and gritty marketer
- Graphic design major or enrolled in a related degree or program
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
- Experience with computer-aided design - Illustrator and Photoshop, Adobe Indesign and other graphic design softwares
- Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas
- Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams
- A strong eye for visual design and composition
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
