Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations (“VPMPR”), the Graphic Designer for Web ("GDW") develops original content and suggests creative ways to attract more customers and promote our venues throughout the region, as well as deploying tactics tied to increasing web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. Responsibilities include work to be performed for (i) the Company and (ii) certain affiliated entities for which the Company provides marketing services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities of the GDW include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain Brand Standards. Ensure consistent use of Watterson Brands portfolio of companies’ brand standards across a wide variety of marketing material designs and channels.
- Creative Contributor. Be an active contributor in brainstorming new campaign ideas but ultimately responsible for designing overall layout and aesthetics for Websites for desktop and mobile.
- Design for Digital Platforms. This includes comprehensive design, coding webpages, microsite or entire websites, meeting with team members to review website templates or refine their designs and running tests to preview layouts and website features to inspire and attract target audiences.
- Quality Control. Create wireframes and develop new web pages, microsites, landing pages, ensuring that these implementations are tested, secure and ready for public-facing consumption.
- Intelligent Website Architecture. Ensure responsive design when implementing new functionality, architecture changes, and necessary plugins for WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and other platforms.
- Considerate Content Creation. Leverage existing print and digital templates, or create new templates, to produce a variety of on-brand marketing assets, including websites, digital presentations, social media properties, collateral, advertising campaigns, infographics, and more.
- Maintenance. Collaborate with marketing peers to maintain and update existing website pages, making recommendations to improve layouts, design, and dynamic content to boost our engagement rates.
- Engagement and Support. Support cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Sales, Professional Services, and company stakeholders, with external-facing visuals and templates.
- Trend Research and Reporting. Research audience preferences and create monthly reports on website metrics outlining traffic performances, applicable ROI’s, and maintain SEO recommendations. Stay up-to-date with changes to website security protocols, ensuring maximum effectiveness.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work will be Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The employee must be able to work a variety of hours or alternative days to accommodate events, which should be independently observed and managed.
