Graphic Designer

MCS Industries, Inc., one of North America’s largest home décor companies, is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our in-house design studio team at its Corporate Headquarters, in Easton, PA. Once fully trained, this position has the opportunity to work remotely 2 days per week.

The Graphic Designer works under the direction of the Manager of Graphic Design, and also collaborates closely with other graphic design team members, product designers, in-house photographer, product managers, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of retail packaging and displays, product graphics, in-store merchandising and layouts, logos, branding and identity systems, and artwork for posters and frames
• Work with customer provided style and branding guides as well as MCS branded development
• Work with stock images and product photography to create compelling and realistic product lifestyle interior shots for packaging, advertising, social media
• Support sales, product management and product design teams to create awesome graphic concepts that convey the message and aesthetic of the product, brand, or customer
• Support creative team in the development of new product and brand launches
• Assist with strategizing, designing, and producing visual communications
• Create mock-up product packaging and product samples for customer approval
• Develop accurate production-ready graphics with a thorough and critical eye; must be able to take a project from conceptual stage to finish line with great attention to detail
• Collaborate and communicate with other designers and marketing partners as needed to achieve most effective marketing message
• Stay on top of current graphic design, home décor, and fashion trends to continuously provide fresh design

Requirements:

· BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent required

· 3-5 years of professional experience in the graphic design field; experience in home décor and craft industries is a big plus; also working with major retailers is a plus

· Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for Mac platform

· Strong knowledge of print production, prepress, and printing; must understand Pantone color systems vs. CMYK, packaging files for printers, etc.

· Experience and ability to use large format printers is a plus

· Excels in all aspects of design (layout, typography, color, imagery) and has a killer portfolio

· Design experience in retail product packaging for major brands utilizing customer provided style and branding guidelines; experience with packaging dielines

· Can communicate design concepts and ideas clearly; ability to accept direction and suggestions from upper management and collaborators with ease and grace

· Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to organize projects, files, and assets across multiple accounts and customers

· Self-motivated and adaptive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; can handle multiple tasks at one time
