Under the direction of the Senior Director of Finance, the Grant Compliance Managerwill ensure adherence to the requirements and regulations of the grants under which the Early Learning and Afterschool programs of the YMCA operate nutritional programs. This position is primarily responsible for managing , organizing, and monitoring compliance in the post-award process for nutrition-based grant funded programs .
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in grants administration and/or accounting OR a high school diploma and 4+ years of experience in grants administration and/or accounting
- Working knowledge of good nutrition practices and knowledge of grant guidelines
- Proficient working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines
- Must be proficient in hardware and software computer skills
- Must possess a good working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Must possess good communication and organization skills
- Must be able to pass an MVR and have your own transportation to travel between branches.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
- 1+ years of experience in direct people management
- 5+ years of experience in program administration
- 5+ years of experience in grants administration and/or accounting
- Develop and maintain a record-keeping system for Early Learning and Afterschool grant compliance.
- Prepare and file reports for grants by the established monthly deadlines, to include CACFP, AHA, and 21st Century.
- Track and review monthly reports in preparation for annual reporting, following up with Program Directors as needed.
- Compose and track submissions for monthly grant reimbursement claims.
- Complete required compliance and grant trainings as needed.
- Submit and track annual and multi-year nutrition-focused grant applications.
- Compile and submit annual reconciliation report for Georgia Pre-K.
- Develop and maintain key professional relationships with government and grant program contacts.
- Conduct organizational grant compliance assessment(s) via center monitoring and reviews.
- Recommend areas of focus for enhancing adherence to grant rules, requirements, and regulations.
- Develop tools, guidance, and trainings to assist staff with grant compliance.
- Support training efforts developed for Early Learning and Afterschool staff on grant rules & regulations with a focus on building technical capacity of relevant staff to understand and comply with grant requirements.
