Job Description:
The Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) and the Microelectronics Research Center (MRC) at Iowa State University are seeking applications for a Grants Assistant IIwho will support the Applied Sciences Complex.
This unique position is responsible for a variety of duties:
Post-Award and Financial Support:
- Supports post award activities including monitoring and preparing financial reports
- Provide guidance to faculty and researchers
- Review awards, track membership payments, submit necessary corrections
Pre-Award:
- Assist and prepare proposal budgets and documentations
- Maintain databases
- Develop proposal reports
ASC Support:
- Manage student check-in/-out processes, database management, safety requirements
- Point of contact for shipping/receiving/service requests
- Equipment liaison, prepares reports, serves as back-up for the ASC shuttle service
Student Support:
- Provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students, serve as timekeeper
- Manage student space assignments, door access, and request keys
- Maintain databases
The successful applicant will have excellent organizational skills, have high attention to detail, be an excellent communicator, be proactive, have excellent time management abilities, and be able to manage multiple priorities. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
