The Grants and Contracts Specialist in iTHRIV works as part of the iTHRIV Finance team which is responsible for pre-award, post-award, and Contracts in response to specific proposal guidelines and terms and conditions. This position will be the point of contact for selected proposal submissions and will work with teams to submit funding proposals and Contracts. They may also work with iTHRIV Scholars and Pilot Study recipients to assist with award management.
Job responsibilities include:
- Work with iTHRIV faculty to prepare and manage proposal submissions, including filling out applications, preparing letters, uploading documents into sponsor proposals and interpreting guidelines for faculty and iTHRIV leadership.
- Review and approve grant expenditures for iTHRIV funding and make adjustments as necessary.
- Reviews costing allocations and work with iTHRIV finance team to make adjustments.
- Prepare account balances for iTHRIV managed funding.
- Prepare funding reports, final invention statements, and progress reports and provide guidance to researchers completing grant applications.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, budget justifications, revisions, monitoring, identifying budget resources, and authorizing Grants and contract accounting.
- Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of contracts relating to expenditures, and personnel actions.
- Provide information on policy and procedure interpretation, new regulations, and new processes to faculty, staff, and external sponsors.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate's degree
Experience: At least two years of grant and contract experience. Two additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Anticipated Hiring Range: starting at $48,000 commensurate with education and experience.
