Job description

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Grants Advisor is responsible for providing direction, support, and guidance to a grant implementation team and Grant Specialists. The Grants Advisor works with senior leadership, management, and committees to develop and design systems and process to improve the overall effectiveness of SCF. Grant implementation teams consist of a Program Manager, Finance Manager, an appointed division leadership, Grants Specialist, and a team of key employees tied to a complex grant. The Grants Advisor facilitates the organization's ability to capitalize on funding opportunities and sustainability in support of SCF's strategic goals.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning, Law or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Three (3) years documented experience writing funded proposals encompassing a variety of funders for health care, behavioral health or a combination involving at least two (2) of the following: health care facilities and infrastructure, social services programs, education and/or community economic development; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Grants Writer at SCF.

Additional Qualifications for Grants Advisor II: Meets all requirements of Grants Advisor I in addition to the following:
  1. Two (2) years documented experience writing funded proposals encompassing a variety of funders for health care, behavioral health or a combination involving at least two (2) of the following: health care facilities and infrastructure, social services programs, education and/or community economic development; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Grants Advisor I at SCF.

Native Preference:
Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.

Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
