Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team. As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of financial report writing, program development, and strategic planning. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and wants to contribute to the success of our organization. At least initially we will focus on the REAP grant. Many future opportunities in EV Chargers.
Duties:
- Research potential grant opportunities and stay updated on grant guidelines and requirements
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's mission and goals
- Collaborate with sales team and other team members to gather information needed for grant proposals
-Work with sales team and marketing coordinator to promote writing services
- Develop budgets and financial reports for grant proposals
- Manage the entire grant application process, including submission and follow-up
- Maintain accurate records of grants applied for and received
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities
- Assist in program development and strategic planning efforts
- Monitor and EValuate the effectiveness of funded programs
- Collect funds as clients receive payments
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer or similar role
- Strong writing skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Knowledge of financial report writing, program development, strategic planning, contract management, and budgeting
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather relevant information from various sources
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Compensation is a comfortable base salary with a commission on monies collected for grant writing services. Commissions are front loaded so that the writer benefits before AES does financially. AES offers a place for personal development on a growing team with exceptional benfits.
