We are seeking a reliable and skilled Grain Elevator Operator to join our team. As a Grain Elevator Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Grain Elevator facility. This includes receiving, storing, and shipping grain products. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and possess knowledge of food processing and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate grain handling equipment such as conveyors, elevators, and scales
- Receive incoming grain shipments and inspect for quality and quantity
- Load and unload grain trucks using a forklift or other equipment
- Monitor grain storage conditions to ensure optimal temperature and moisture levels
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of grain inventory levels and transactions
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in a Grain Elevator or similar environment
- Knowledge of food processing procedures and quality control standards
- Ability to fabricate or repair equipment as needed
- Familiarity with farm operations and agricultural practices
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
