Overview

MSA has an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer II - Plumbing at our any of our following Wisconsin office locations: Milwaukee, Madison, Baraboo, Appleton, or Kiel on the Building Service Line. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.

Responsibilities

The work you will do

  • Design of plumbing systems including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specification, and coordination. Fire protection scope of work design specification and layout
  • Drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Perform code reviews
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and processing
  • Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Project management and client interaction
  • Assist with mentoring junior technicians and engineers
Qualifications

What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • 3+ years of prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required
  • EIT required
  • Professional Engineer license preferred. Ability to obtain PE license within 2 years of employment required.
  • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities and commercial buildings required
  • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients and other disciplines preferred
  • Experience with Revit required
  • Prior project management experience required
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for fast-paced and multi-tasking environment with the ability to coordinate this information across disciplines

STIP payments are awarded if MSA reaches its corporate financial plan for the year.
