Grades 3/4 Teacher - 2024/25 School Year

This position will work with both 3rd and 4th grade students. Teachers stay with their class for a 2 year cycle - (for student's 3rd and 4th grade year). A successful candidate will be strong in the skill of differentiation and student-centered instruction, as well as collaborating with a team.

This position begins July 11, 2024. Please refer to the TES 2024-25 Academic Calendar for more details. TES operates on a modified year-round schedule.

• Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education
• Be proficient in the Common Core Standards or NC essential related to the elementary grade applying for
• Be familiar with or be willing to learn standards based grading.
• Be fully motivated to go "all-in" to help students learn
• Have a Growth Mindset, flexibility, and willingness to engage in coaching
• Bring a joyful attitude to the classroom and school
• Be able to uncover student strengths and utilize these in differentiated learning experiences that address multiple learning modalities and multiple achievement levels.
• Be ready to learn and use top-rated curriculum while adding your creative spin with projects
• Be familiar with SeeSaw or willing to learn, as well as other online learning apps or components.
• Be proficient with ways to assist special needs students, including students on the spectrum
• Be proficient in hands-on ways to learn
• Be aligned with the school's philosophies, values, mission and vision
• Be able and willing to collaborate with other staff
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques. Responsive Classroom Trained preferred, but we will train also.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
• Be willing to have an "open-door" classroom where parents, prospective parents, and staff members can observe regularly

Salary: NC State Salary Scale + School Supplement
