Education:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
Licensure:
- Valid driver’s license
Experience/Skills:
- Experience as a recipient of substance use services
- Have a primary diagnosis of a mental health condition
- Have a strong personal knowledge of what it is like to have first-hand lived experience with a mental health condition that has caused a substantial life disruption
- Has been a recipient of mental health treatment and/or services for at least one year, with a substantial life disruption due to your mental health condition
- Have personal experience in navigating complex mental health treatment services
- Self-identifies as having a mental health condition with a substantial life disruption and willing to share your recovery story in supporting others
- Certified Peer Support Specialist, or the ability to become certified
- At least two (2) years sustained recovery; self-identifying as a person in recovery from a substance use or addiction diagnosis
- Have received publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction(s)
Other:
- If using Agency vehicles, passing random drug and alcohol screening
- Must have access to personal vehicle

Applicants chosen for interview will be evaluated on qualifications related to:
- Ability to utilize clear procedures for solving a limited number of routine or similar problems choosing from a few specific alternatives
- Ability to respond to directions
- Ability to exert some control over time and effort.
- Ability to provide or exchange routine information
- Ability to deal with minor conflicts tactfully
Education:
- Some college experience/degree
Experience/Skills:
- Several years’ experience in mental health field
- Trauma informed care training
While performing duties of this job, the employee might expect light, regular physical demand, such as constant standing or walking; close attention, such as observation of gauges, timers, etc. The employee may occasionally be required to utilize CMH approved physical management techniques.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee might expect comfortable conditions; occasional noise; limited exposure to disagreeable work elements.
Any offer of employment is contingent upon a criminal background check, reference checks, Recipient Rights check, DHHS Central Registry check (for direct-care candidates), and a five (5) panel drug screen. Potential candidates will be sent to Industrial Health Service for the drug screen at their own expense. The candidate will be reimbursed the cost of the drug screen upon the Agency’s receipt of negative test results.
