The purpose of this role is to deliver efficient and effective technical and administrative support and successfully complete assigned projects according to specifications. The primary role of this position is supporting the field crews with their GPS equipment. Also, coordination and management of the company and rented GPS assests, including but not limited to troubleshooting, repairs, purchases, invoices, and maintaining a small parts inventory. The secondary role of this position is to perform and provide support with Teichert's Drone Program, which includes but not limited to being Part 107 certified, flying a drone to perform a site topography, processing the imagery to develop a surface, and layout flight crosses to provide accuracy.

- Track and ensure proper hours for all GPS Equipment.
- Manage and maintain all GPS equipment.
- Monitor and track rental equipment, RPO's, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot GPS equipment when necessary, contact Sitech for assistance when needed.
- Participant with training of field crews on GPS equipment.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with all foreman, grade setters, superintendents, and project managers.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all civil engineers.
- Teamwork, communication and follow through are key ingredients to achieving success.
- Provide assistance for model building and earthwork calculations when needed.
- Ability to adapt and deal with change on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
- Ability to deal positively with the pressures associated with deadline.
- Ability to process grading information, such as, plans, plan revisions and surveying cut sheets.
- Understand and follow all FAA laws and regulations regarding UAS - Unmanned Aircraft System flights.
- Willing to topo a project using a UAS as needed, sometimes without prior notification.
- Walk project sites and properly set up project control for UAS flight.
- Maintain constant attention on UAS while in flight.
Relationships, Qualifications and Requirements, & Competencies
- Reports to: Construction Technology Manager

- External clients: Design Engineers, Owners, Vendors
- Internal clients: Foremen, Grade Setters, Superintendents, Project Managers
- Education: Four (4) year degree from a technical school, university or state college, or applicable work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years working with Trimble GPS equipment.
- Minimum of two (2) years of grading field experience preferred.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
- Valid Driver's License
- Current on all company required safety training
- Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest
- Ability to read and interpret grading plans and specifications
- Ability to utilize computer aided systems and equipment
- Knowledge of company's Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
- Preferred working knowledge of construction equipment, materials, techniques, and required standards applicable to discipline
