The Government & Public Affairs Coordinator provides support for Government and Public Affairs activities. This position also coordinates legislative and political activities, as well as meetings and events. The Government & Public Affairs Coordinator conducts political and legislative research, creating written reports while building/tracking spreadsheets.
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, with a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule. Some remote work may be possible after initial training period.

Responsibilities:
We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate department updates and/or issue update material for inter-company communications
- Compose and prepare letters, presentations, agendas and other business correspondences
- Provide written summaries and speaking points on legislation and potential legislation
- Coordinate and process Political Action Committee (PAC) requests and disbursements with operating groups
- Coordinate and maintain reporting on candidate visits from legislative meetings
- Assemble packets for legislative meetings and visits from elected officials
- Schedule and track appointments, maintain the calendars and update contact information for various political and government contacts and/or the department
- Coordinate external political meetings/events including arranging facilities, audio/visual equipment, catering, providing directions or any other special requests
- Coordinate background materials on political candidates
- Assist in "call to action" emails sent to employees to contact their legislator
- Coordinate attendance and involvement at political events
- Coordinate department documents and filing system to ensure compliant document retention
- Anticipate future scheduling conflicts
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all activities and records
- Cross-train with Executive Assistant to backfill for absences
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Political Science or related field preferred)
- One (1+) year of business support or administrative experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
