Job description

The Government Fleet Sales Manager provides leadership and oversight of the Government Fleet Department at Donohoo Chevrolet. The Government Fleet Sales Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and directing personnel and resources for the acquisition and maintenance of vehicles, related equipment, and vehicle services for city and regional governmental agencies. As a Government Fleet Sales Manager, the incumbent will use their consultative selling skills to maintain current accounts while creating and implementing plans to acquire new state and city accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to advise and make suitable recommendations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Focus on securing government agency contracts through competitive bidding.
  • Ability to leverage social networks, email, and all available methods identify emerging markets and generate new leads that will grow awareness and interest resulting in a robust pipeline.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and services.
  • Serve as a company representative at major industry events, conferences, and/or tradeshows.
  • Set and maintain sales target goals.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
